Very little is really known about the NER tile maps. It is believed that 24 stations had displayed them, but it may well be that there were more. It could even be that forgotten maps remain, hidden by later building work, but this would seem to be unlikely. What is still in existence, though, is information, either oral, written, or photographic, of the lost maps. I would be most grateful if anybody with any of this would get in touch, with the aim of updating the known history as time goes on.
